«Modern-Expo» is a participant of a number one event in the world of retail!

From 22 to 27 February in German city Düsseldorf there was the largest international branch-wise exhibition EuroShop-2008. The group of Modern-Expo’ s companies presented three major areas of their activity in two booths – shelving, check-out counters and POP (branded) equipment.

For the first time the exhibition opened its doors for visitors in 1966 and almost for a 40-year history of its existence has become a number one event in the world of retail. This year a scale and effectiveness of EuroShop have surpassed all expectations. The event has been visited by over 100000 experts from 90 countries of the world. Number of exhibitors in 2008 exceeded last exhibition indicators by 252 and that last exhibition was held in 2005 and amounted to 1911 companies. Booths lease has increased by 13% - from 94.825 sqm to 107.100 sqm. 58% of visitors have come to Germany from near and far abroad.

There were really many things worth seeing for guests. After the lapse of three years not only the quality level of the show has grown but also changes in the mode of the fair organization on Rhine have had a positive impact. Two specialized congresses, many forums as well as seminars that were being held at the same time appeared to be ideal addition to the exhibition. The participants also had an opportunity to discuss the latest trends and perspectives of the market.

«Modern-Expo» has become a EuroShop exhibitor for the third time, - comments Piotr Pylypiuk, CEO of the company. This year we have presented three main directions such as shelving, check-out counters and POP equipment which we intend to develop on the markets of Eastern and Central Europe as well as in the countries of CIS. For the first time in Germany there has been presented a new range of Magellan check-out counters. It has found its admires at once just like our shelving system Columbus did several years ago. No doubt, that a decision to exhibit branded equipment in the separate booth proved its value. Manufacturers are investing in the development of their own brands more willingly, that’s why this trend currency grows every year.

«Results of the fair have confirmed that the company put the right emphasis – continued Igor Mironchuk, head of the Key Client Department. –Correlation between price and quality of all three store fixtures directions is competitive and asked-for. We have made over 200 perspective contacts, have conducted many interesting and efficient negotiations. That’s why our key task now is to choose priority directions of our further work and allocate our recourses correctly».
